27th International Meeting of EgSCRS

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

It is a great honor and pleasure to welcome you to the 27th International Meeting of the Egyptian Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (EgSCRS), taking place 11–13 November 2026 in Cairo, Egypt.

Since its establishment in 1990, EgSCRS has proudly served as the oldest subspecialty ophthalmic society in Egypt and the Middle East, dedicated to advancing the science, education, and practice of cataract and refractive surgery. Over the years, the society has become an important platform for scientific exchange, bringing together ophthalmologists, researchers, and industry partners from across the region and beyond.

The continued success of our meeting reflects the strong commitment of our community. Last year’s congress welcomed more than 800 participants from Egypt, the Middle East, and Africa, together with over 150 participants in the hands-on wet lab sessions, highlighting the growing importance of practical surgical education and collaborative learning.

For EgSCRS 2026, we have prepared a comprehensive scientific program that brings together national and international experts to share their experience, innovations, and perspectives. The program includes symposia, instructional courses, free paper sessions, competitions, surgical videos, and wet labs, all designed to stimulate meaningful dialogue and address the day-to-day clinical challenges faced by ophthalmologists in modern practice.

Beyond the scientific program, this meeting also offers a valuable opportunity to connect with colleagues, exchange ideas, and strengthen professional collaborations within our regional and international ophthalmic community.
